Dorii (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a household utility app that helps users create grocery lists, share them with their trusted local stores, and analyze monthly spending. We respect your privacy and comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act, India) and Google Play policies.

1. Data We Collect

Personal Information

  • Phone number (for account creation and store linking)
  • Name (optional)

App Activity

  • Grocery lists you create
  • Items you add or edit
  • List completion & store linkage events

Device & Technical Data

  • Device identifiers
  • Crash logs & App version

Optional Data

  • Bill amount entered manually
  • Bill image (if uploaded in future)

2. Why We Collect Data

We use your data to:

Provide core app functionality
Sync lists across devices
Enable store linking
Display monthly insights
Improve app performance
Send essential notifications (e.g., “order ready”)

Important: We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

When you choose to send a list to your store via WhatsApp, the data is shared only because you initiate the action.

6. Data Retention

Lists and usage data are retained for up to 24 months, after which they are anonymized or deleted.

7. Children’s Privacy

Dorii is intended for users aged 18 and above.

8. How to Delete Your Data

To delete your Dorii account and all associated data:

Open the Dorii app → Profile → “Delete Account” (coming soon)

We will delete all data within 7 working days.
